Knocked Up

June 9, 2007 · Leave a Comment

If you haven’t seen Knocked Up yet, go see it. It’s funny without being constantly sophomoric, it’s touching, it’s sad, it’s great. I’ve never been in a movie that had that many reactions from the audience, like. all the time. Usually you see a movie and everyone is quiet unless something outrageously funny happens or someone gets hit in the nuts or someone jumps out and scares the hell out of you all. It’s something completely different when someone gets unfairly chewed out on screen and you along with about a hundred or so others all say “aw…” at the same time. This is a feel good movie, no doubt about it. Please go see this movie. I promise you will not regret it.

Bad Karma

June 6, 2007 · 3 Comments

So I was driving to work the other day, and I stop behind a line of cars who are in turn stopped at a stop sign (stop stop stop).

I realized something wasn’t qutie right when I didn’t begin to move again. I counted to 30 in my head. 30 seconds is a long time to be behind a stop sign, when you think about it, as you normally only stay for a fifteenth of that. All I could make out from my postition was brief glimpses of cars going by, making a left turn from the opposite direction ahead of us.

“I have never seen this many cars in a row go through stop signs before,” I thought to myself.

Piggybacking stopsigns is a fairly common occurance, in RI at least; it’s when you closely follow the car in front of you after he has stopped a stop sign. Many people think that stopping behind a car at a stopsign counts as a stop. Unsurprisingly, it doesn’t. It happened to me today, in fact. I was on my way home from work and came to a four-way stop.

It looked a little something like this.-^ (more…)

Bleh

I have had a very “off” day. For a combination of various reasons, I suppose.

Basically I feel as though I haven’t gotten on well with most–if not all–of the people I’ve interacted with today. It’s not a very fun feeling.

Anyway, I drew a picture of Michael K Brandow, an attorney from Chicago, IL. He’s received some internet-ridicule over the appearance of his portrait, and it’s fairly obvious why. To be honest, I think it has an ineffable charm.

Please believe me when I tell you that I did not exaggerate his appearance in the least.
Just in case you don’t believe me, click here.

This man is my hero.
Oh, and here’s a coworker of his.

One of the happiest looking guys I’ve seen. I actually like his portrait quite a bit.

That’s all, for now.

Flying Mowers

March 20, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I made a background for my Twitter today.

I was inspired by a video I had seen two years ago posted on MetaFilter.
The sight of a flying lawnmower is the epitome of awesome.

I found the video on YouTube.
(Apparently there is a lot of BS one has to go through when trying to embed YouTube videos, so suck it up and click on the link because nothing I’ve tried is working.)

Bonus: Cotton Eye Joe is the soundtrack.
Like I said, the epitome of awesome.
